The upcoming SBS drama Sold Out on You has officially confirmed its premiere date while revealing a glimpse of the cast during the first script reading session. Starring Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won Bin, the romantic comedy is already attracting attention ahead of its broadcast.
Sold Out on You tells the story of Matthew Lee, played by Ahn Hyo Seop, a perfectionist farmer who balances several jobs to make a living. His nickname “Mechoori,” meaning “quail,” comes from a playful similarity between the word and the way his name sounds in Korean. Opposite him is Dam Ye Jin, portrayed by Chae Won Bin, a successful home shopping show host who suffers from severe insomnia despite her thriving career.

On March 10, the production team released photos from the drama’s script reading session. The event brought together the main cast and creative team, offering an early look at the chemistry between the actors and raising expectations for the upcoming series Sold Out on You.
The reading began with director Ahn Jong Yeon, who expressed his determination to create a pleasant and joyful filming environment. His brief remarks set a warm tone for the gathering, as the cast members quickly immersed themselves in their characters.
During the reading, Ahn Hyo Seop vividly portrayed Matthew Lee’s personality, capturing the contrast between the character’s cool exterior and warm inner nature. His expressive delivery added humor to several scenes, especially when he playfully included sound effects while acting out moments involving tractors or farm work. These small details brought lively energy to the session and highlighted Ahn Hyo Seop’s approach to the role.
Meanwhile, Chae Won Bin impressed with her energetic interpretation of Dam Ye Jin. Her confident voice and expressive gestures reflected the character’s determination and charm, particularly in scenes where the host tries to persuade others in order to achieve her goals. The performance also revealed the bright and ambitious personality that defines Dam Ye Jin throughout Sold Out on You.

One of the highlights of the reading was the lively exchange between Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won Bin. Their playful back-and-forth dialogue hinted at the bickering chemistry that will likely shape the romantic storyline in Sold Out on You, making viewers curious about how their relationship will develop on screen.
The drama also features Kim Bum, who takes on the role of Seo Eric, an executive director at a cosmetics company. Through a calm and thoughtful performance, Kim Bum conveyed the character’s emotional depth and affectionate personality during the script reading.
Veteran actress Go Doo Shim added warmth to the atmosphere as a member of the Songhak family and a key figure in Deokpoong Village. Her use of regional dialect and gentle smile brought a sense of authenticity to the character, while her presence provided a steady and reassuring energy during the reading session.
With the cast demonstrating strong chemistry and enthusiasm from the very first script reading, expectations for Sold Out on You continue to grow. The romantic comedy starring Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won Bin is scheduled to premiere on April 22 at 9 p.m. KST.
