Introduction to ‘Isho, Kokai’

The film ‘Isho, Kokai,’ starring Yoshino Hokuto from The Rampage, has recently unveiled its official title and is generating significant excitement among fans of the original manga by Yodo Taro. With the release of trailer and poster, audiences are eager to delve into the story that intertwines mystery, drama, and the exploration of complex themes surrounding youth and tragedy.

 

 

Synopsis of the Film

Set against the backdrop of the Kairei Private Academy, ‘Isho, Kokai’ begins with the introduction of 25 students and their homeroom teacher in Class 2-D during the spring semester. The narrative takes a dark turn as Himeyama Tsubaki, an esteemed honor student, is mysteriously found dead just six months after being celebrated as the top student. Her unexpected suicide sends shockwaves throughout the class, leading to each student receiving a chilling suicide note from her. Driven by the need to uncover the truth behind Himeyama’s demise, the remaining 24 students decide to share their own suicide notes in a bid to reveal hidden truths.

The film features prominent performances from Yoshino as Ikenaga Shuya (ranked 19th), Miyase Ryubi as Chikage Seiichi (ranked 16th), and Shida Sara as Hatsukaichi Kurumi (ranked 20th). The production, helmed by director Hanabusa Tsutomu—known for his work on the popular series ‘Tokyo Revengers’—aims to bring the gripping narrative of ‘Isho, Kokai’ to life.
