Fan Bingbing’s New Home on Barker Road

Renowned Chinese actress Fan Bingbing has recently made headlines by renting an apartment on Barker Road in Hong Kong’s prestigious neighborhood, The Peak, for a staggering HK$650,000 (US$83,414) per month. According to Dimsum Daily, this luxurious residence spans over 5,000 square feet (465 square meters) and offers unparalleled 180-degree views of Victoria Harbour.

Features of the Residence

The upscale apartment boasts five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and nearly 1,000 square feet of garden space. Additionally, it includes an expansive terrace exceeding 1,000 square feet, making it an idyllic retreat within the bustling city.

Fan’s Journey to Permanent Residency

Sources reveal that Fan Bingbing, after nearly a decade of pursuing Hong Kong residency through investment immigration, has successfully acquired it. Barker Road, renowned for its exclusivity and privacy, attracts many prominent individuals. For instance, Martin Li Ka-shing, heir to billionaire Lee Shau Kee, purchased a property at 35 Barker Road for HK$1.82 billion in 2010, while Chinese billionaire Jack Ma allegedly spent HK$1.5 billion on a luxury home at 22 Barker Road.

Fan Bingbing’s Career and Recent Activities

Fan launched her career in the entertainment industry at the age of 17 and has since garnered international recognition as an actress, model, television producer, and singer. She was included in Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in 2017. After keeping a low profile following a US8 million fine for tax evasion in 2018, Fan has recently been more active, participating in international events and reconnecting with followers on social media platforms such as Xiaohongshu and Douyin. Through these platforms, she shares updates about her life in Hong Kong.
