End of an Era for Jung Ho-yeon and Lee Dong-hwi

Fans of the celebrity couple Jung Ho-yeon and Lee Dong-hwi are saddened by the recent announcement confirming the end of their nine-year relationship. Through statements issued by their respective agencies on November 26, the couple expressed their decision to transition back to being good colleagues. Their long-standing romance began in 2015 and became public in 2016, making it one of the more beloved relationships in the entertainment industry.

Support Through Success

Throughout their time together, Jung Ho-yeon and Lee Dong-hwi remained fiercely supportive of one another’s careers. Following her outstanding performance in the global hit series Squid Game, Jung Ho-yeon received international fame. Lee Dong-hwi, who has consistently stood by her side, expressed his pride in her achievements during a guest appearance on the variety show Kwak TaxiTrip 2. He openly referred to his girlfriend as his “girlfriend and best friend,” showcasing the deep bond they shared.

As both actors embark on their respective careers, they remain focused on their upcoming projects. Lee Dong-hwi recently starred in the MBC drama Chief Detective 1958 and is set to take on the role of Gerd Wiesler in the highly anticipated play The Lives of Others, which premieres on November 27. Meanwhile, Jung Ho-yeon is making strides in her acting career with a role in the psychological thriller Disclaimer, where she appears as Cate Blanchett’s assistant, Jisoo Kim. While their romantic chapter may be closing, fans can look forward to their continued professional endeavors.
