A Glimpse into Minji’s Busy Schedule
NewJeans’ Minji recently graced the pages of Vogue Korea magazine with a stunning pictorial! Following the photo shoot, Minji took a moment to chat about the group’s recent fan meeting “Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome,” her music ambitions, and her life principles. Reflecting on NewJeans’ debut in Japan and their new song “Supernatural,” Minji shared insights into her busy schedule.
Solo Performance and Stage Inspirations
One of the highlights of the Tokyo Dome fan meeting was Minji’s solo performance of Vaundy’s “Odoriko.” She reflected on the experience, stating, “I was truly happy! Even during the rehearsal, I was worried about how to present the stage. But once I got up there, my body just moved on its own.” Minji also discussed her choice of attire, revealing, “I initially thought of a different outfit, but the styling team suggested the school uniform. Singing in my real uniform brought back many high school memories.”
New Inspirations and Retro Trends
Debuting in Japan and performing at the Tokyo Dome brought fresh inspiration to Minji. Speaking on her experiences, she said, “My desire to enjoy the stage never changes. At the Tokyo Dome, I felt tickling happiness throughout. There was a moment when I felt everyone there shared the same emotion, and it made me feel like I was floating.” Minji also touched on NewJeans’ affinity for retro trends, mentioning that for her, “everything we present as NewJeans feels new. It’s always fresh and exciting.”
Personal Growth and Academic Pursuits
As they approach their second anniversary, Minji expressed her musical ambitions for NewJeans and herself, stating, “I feel there is still so much we haven’t shown. Both as a group and individually, I want to showcase the music we enjoy on more stages.” Known for her academic enthusiasm, Minji shared her current interests, highlighting a newfound desire to learn an instrument.
Mindset and Moments of Reflection
Minji’s logical and positive mindset has gained considerable attention. Addressing worries, she said, “Worrying itself is not necessarily bad. I do have a lot of concerns but I don’t let them overwhelm me.” Minji also shared her appreciation for small beauties, stating, “Focusing only on what’s right in front of me can make me miss the beauty around me. Recently, the sight of the fans at the Tokyo Dome stage was the most beautiful to me.”
