Overview of the Situation

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has announced transport control measures and enhanced safety protocols due to expected large gatherings near Gyeongbokgung Palace. From March 17 to March 23, it is crucial for travelers and residents to stay informed about these changes to ensure safe and efficient travel in the area.

Transport Adjustments

During this period, significant alterations will affect various modes of transport. Subways, particularly the Seoul Subway Line 3 that runs through Anguk Station, may bypass the station entirely or suspend regular service. Passengers should be aware that bus services in the vicinity will either detour or not stop in affected areas, including Gwanghwamun Intersection.

Visitor Guidance

Travelers planning to visit popular attractions, such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, and Unhyeongung Royal Residence, are highly encouraged to verify operating hours prior to their visit. It is advised that they check the official websites of these locations for updates on any restrictions or changes. Furthermore, exercising caution during the week of March 17 to 23 will contribute to a safer environment for everyone.
