On August 21, Highzium Studio announced that renowned actors Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee have been confirmed as the lead stars in the upcoming drama ‘My Youth’ (working title). The forthcoming series is a romantic drama that promises an intriguing narrative arc adorned with poignant moments and a dynamic cast.

Plot Overview

‘My Youth’ revolves around two main characters: Sunwoo Hae, portrayed by Song Joong Ki, and Sung Je Yeon, played by Chun Woo Hee. Sunwoo Hae is a novelist and florist who has recently transitioned into a more tranquil lifestyle, having escaped a previously chaotic existence. On the other hand, Sung Je Yeon is a tenacious team leader at Feel Entertainment, driven by the sheer determination to succeed after her family’s unexpected downfall.

The Characters

Sunwoo Hae, once a bright child actor, fell from public grace due to the exploitative actions of adults around him. As he starts living an ordinary life, unburdened by his tumultuous past, Sung Je Yeon reemerges, bringing with her the key to memories he had long buried. Sung Je Yeon disrupts Sunwoo Hae’s newfound peace but offers a chance for mutual healing and growth.

A Talented Creative Team

The drama will be written by Park Si Hyun, known for the hit JTBC drama ‘Run On,’ and directed by Lee Sang Yeop, who has been lauded for his work on ‘Yumi’s Cells,’ ‘Familiar Wife,’ and ‘Shopaholic Louis.’ The production is in the capable hands of Highzium Studio, promising a high-quality viewing experience.
