Highzium Studio Confirms Casting
On August 21, production company Highzium Studio officially announced that renowned actors Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee will headline the new romance K-drama titled ‘My Youth.’ This highly anticipated series is scheduled to be broadcast next year, with a premiere set for 2025.
Plot and Characters
‘My Youth’ is set to explore the lives of its protagonists, who reencounter each other after 15 years. Song Joong Ki will portray Sun Woo Hae, a former child actor turned novelist and florist following the decline of his youthful fame. Opposite him, Chun Woo Hee will play Seong Je Yeon, the team leader of Phil Entertainment. Despite her privileged background, Seong Je Yeon had to confront a sudden financial downturn that significantly altered her journey.
Creative Team and Additional Cast
The series will be directed by Lee Sang Yeob, known for his work on ‘Yumi’s Cells’ and ‘Familiar Wife.’ Scriptwriting duties will be handled by Park Shi Hyun, whose credits include ‘Run On.’ Other notable actors such as Lee Joo Myung, Seo Ji Hoon, and Lee Bong Ryun are also reported to join the cast, although further details on their roles are yet to be disclosed.
Further Projects
In addition to ‘My Youth,’ Song Joong Ki is set to make a special appearance in the upcoming K-drama ‘Romantic Anonymous.’ For Chun Woo Hee, this new project follows her recent work in the Netflix original K-drama ‘The 8 Show.’
