Meet the Characters of ‘Marry You’

The upcoming rom-com drama “Marry You” features a delightful ensemble cast, including Lee Yi Kyung as Bong Chul Hee and Jo Soo Min as Jung Ha Na. The series revolves around their contrasting views on marriage, presented through newly released character posters that cleverly resemble marriage application forms.

Bong Chul Hee: The Dreamer Who Seeks Responsibility

Bong Chul Hee, portrayed by Lee Yi Kyung, is an innocent bachelor from a remote island. His character’s journey is driven by a newfound goal of marriage after he meets Jung Ha Na. When asked about the most important aspect of marriage, he answers, “responsibility.” This response showcases a mature and steadfast approach to life, making him an intriguing character in the story.

Jung Ha Na: The Reluctant Civil Servant

On the other hand, Jo Soo Min’s character, Jung Ha Na, stands out with her strong anti-marriage stance. Her poster is unique, boldly indicating “no” under the “do you want to get married?” section. Her perspective on marriage highlights her independence, with her reply of “the right to get married” sparking curiosity about her criteria for marriage.

Supporting Characters: The Idealists

Ikon’s Junhoe plays Choi Ki Joon, the ideal “golden boy” from the marriage promotion department. With the answer “a trustworthy relationship,” he emphasizes the importance of sincerity in relationships. Lastly, Ji Yi Soo as Oh In Ah embodies charm and wealth, believing that “making romantic fantasies a reality” is key in marriage. Together, these characters create a captivating look at diverse marriage perspectives.

With its entertaining premise and engaging characters, “Marry You” is set to premiere this November, promising to deliver both laughs and thoughtful insights into the complexities of marriage.
