New Digital Arrival Card System Launch

Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports has recently announced the launch of a digital arrival card system, set to begin on May 1, 2025. This online platform is designed to replace the traditional paper-based TM.6 arrival form, aiming to streamline the entry process for foreign travelers.

Benefits of the Digital System

With the introduction of the digital arrival card, travelers will be required to complete their registration online within 72 hours prior to their arrival in Thailand. This process allows for the submission of personal details well in advance, significantly reducing immigration processing times at entry points. By implementing this system, the Thai government seeks to improve overall efficiency during the influx of tourists.

Multilingual Support to Facilitate Adoption

To ensure smooth transition and widespread adoption of the new digital system, the immigration bureau has created a range of multilingual promotional materials. These resources are available in several languages, including English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese. By utilizing brochures and instructional videos, the government aims to assist tourists in understanding how to effectively use the system.

As Thailand sets a target of welcoming 38 million foreign visitors in 2025, following a record-breaking influx of more than 35.5 million tourists in 2024, this new initiative will play a crucial role in handling the increased volume while generating substantial revenue for the country.
