Recently, Xu Kai and Zhao Qing’s rumored relationship has once again become a trending topic. While the controversy initially stemmed from accusations made by Xu Lisha, public attention is now shifting toward Zhao Qing and her ex-boyfriend Mao Feilian, raising new questions about the timeline and integrity of these relationships.
To recap, Xu Lisha previously went public accusing Xu Kai of cheating, claiming he was seen entering a hotel with Zhao Qing before officially breaking up with her. This led many to speculate about the nature of Xu Kai and Zhao Qing’s relationship.
Today, Zhao Qing’s ex-boyfriend Mao Feilian stepped into the spotlight, adding more fuel to the fire. In leaked WeChat messages with a friend, Mao said: “After Zhao Qing got involved with Xu Kai, she dumped me,” and emphasized that their relationship started before Zhao Qing entered the entertainment industry. According to Mao, Zhao Qing and Xu Kai were already spotted together before he and Zhao officially broke up—implying possible infidelity on Zhao’s part.
In response to the growing speculation, Yu Zheng—producer and talent manager of both Xu Kai and Zhao Qing—previously addressed the hotel incident. He claimed it was a professional arrangement where Zhao was helping Xu Kai rehearse lines, denying any romantic involvement between the two. He insisted they are just “close friends,” not a couple.
Yu Zheng’s statement seems plausible, especially since it’s widely known within the industry that relationships inside his company, Huanyu Entertainment, are often complex. Although Xu Kai and Zhao Qing appear close, they have never publicly confirmed a relationship. Their respective agencies have also swiftly and clearly denied any romantic ties, suggesting that from a technical standpoint, no formal relationship—and therefore no cheating—occurred.
Both Xu Kai and Zhao Qing are considered Yu Zheng’s favored talents, and the company is unlikely to sacrifice either without solid evidence. That said, Xu Lisha—the original whistleblower—has not backed down. In fact, she has now shifted the focus toward Yu Zheng himself, adding more layers of drama to an already tangled situation.
