This month’s individual boy group member brand rankings are in, offering another snapshot of which K-pop idols are making the biggest waves across media, fan communities, and consumer engagement. The Korean Business Research Institute released the results following their analysis of big data collected from August 20 to September 20, examining 755 male idol group members based on metrics like media coverage, communication activity, and online community buzz.
Leading the list for September is BTS’s Jimin, who soared to the top with a brand reputation index of 5,390,371. This marks a significant 22.93% increase compared to his score last month. Keyword analysis revealed that terms such as “Billboard chart,” “Who,” and “Spotify” were closely linked to his current visibility, while associated expressions like “the one and only,” “record,” and “surpass” highlighted his continued influence. Notably, his positivity-negativity ratio stood out, with 91.27% of responses reflecting positive sentiment.

ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo rose impressively to second place with a brand index of 5,170,504, representing a 17.77% boost since August. His consistent presence across entertainment, acting, and endorsements continues to keep him front and center in public discourse.
Taking third for the month is BTS’s Jin, who garnered a brand index of 3,962,171. Despite being on military hiatus, his sustained popularity remains evident in both fan-driven content and public interest.
BTS’s Jungkook followed in fourth place with a score of 3,714,825. His index also saw a 6.80% lift this month, showing that his ongoing solo activities and media presence are resonating strongly with fans.
Rounding out the top five is BIGBANG’s G-Dragon, whose brand index reached 2,993,916. Though he’s been relatively quiet musically, his enduring cultural presence and legacy in K-pop continue to keep him high on the radar.
Other notable entries in the top ten include BTS’s V, Wanna One’s Kang Daniel and Park Ji Hoon, EXO’s Baekhyun, and BTS’s Suga—each continuing to maintain their visibility and popularity across different platforms.
While the top spots often feature familiar names, each month’s rankings reflect the dynamic nature of fandom engagement and public interest. Whether through new releases, variety show appearances, or unexpected viral moments, these rankings offer a unique lens into who’s leaving a lasting impression in the current K-pop landscape.
