Doyoung’s Heartfelt Gesture
As NCT’s Doyoung prepares to begin his military enlistment on December 8, he continues to demonstrate his commitment to supporting those in need. On October 31, the NGO World Vision announced his significant donation of 100 million won (approximately $70,000) aimed at improving educational environments for children. This philanthropic effort showcases Doyoung’s deep sense of responsibility and care for the future generation.

Impact on Education in Uganda
The funds donated by Doyoung will be allocated towards constructing a new school in Bugondo, located in Uganda’s Mayuge District. This project seeks to create a safer and more conducive learning environment for approximately 1,000 children, who are currently hindered in their studies due to inadequate conditions. By investing in educational infrastructure, Doyoung hopes to uplift the spirits and aspirations of these children, enabling them to pursue their dreams without barriers.
A Message of Gratitude
Expressing his feelings, Doyoung remarked, “I’m grateful that as I wrap up my second tour, I’m able to give back even a little bit of the love I received from my fans all over the world.” His statement reflects a genuine appreciation for the support he has received throughout his career and underlines the importance of giving back. Cho Myung Hwan, CEO of World Vision Korea, echoed this sentiment, thanking Doyoung for his heartfelt support and assuring that the organization will strive to make the most of his generous contribution. Such initiatives not only enhance educational facilities but also inspire hope and determination among the youth of Bugondo.
