Yoo Yeon Seok and Esom have been confirmed to star in the upcoming SBS drama “Shin Yi Rang’s Law Firm,” a series blending legal storytelling with supernatural elements.
The drama follows attorney Shin Yi Rang, who unexpectedly gains the ability to see ghosts, and elite lawyer Han Na Hyun, whose flawless win rate defines her career. Together, they take on unusual clients—ghosts burdened by unresolved grievances—and work to uncover the truth behind their stories.
Yoo Yeon Seok will portray Shin Yi Rang, who begins seeing ghosts after opening his office in a building that once housed a shaman. Although he appears reliable, he is timid and occasionally clumsy, yet unwavering when it comes to helping ghost clients suffering from tragic pasts. Due to a possession-like phenomenon, he temporarily adopts each client’s traits, leading to unpredictable changes in behavior.
Esom takes on the role of Han Na Hyun, an ace attorney known for her cold precision and relentless pursuit of victory at a major law firm. Her career takes an unexpected turn after losing a case to Shin Yi Rang. Initially dismissive of his claim that he can see ghosts, she gradually begins to acknowledge his sincerity as extraordinary events unfold, revealing emotional layers previously hidden beneath her composed exterior.
The drama highlights the dynamic teamwork between the two lawyers. Shin Yi Rang directly communicates with ghost clients and, through “possession advocacy,” absorbs memories and abilities that help uncover the core of each case. Han Na Hyun then applies logical reasoning and legal expertise to connect the clues and reach the truth. Their initially contrasting approaches evolve into a compelling partnership.
According to the production team, the interplay between Shin Yi Rang’s possession abilities, Han Na Hyun’s sharp judgment, and the ghost clients’ diverse stories will deliver humor, suspense, and emotion. They added that Yoo Yeon Seok and Esom are an ideal match for the roles and will bring exceptional synergy to the series.
“Shin Yi Rang’s Law Firm” is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2026.
