Makoto Hasegawa of THE RAMPAGE is stepping into his first solo leading role in the suspense drama Kao no Nai Kanja – Sukuu ka, Sabaku ka–, a series built around a brutal moral dilemma: Can a doctor kill one person to save the one he loves?

The story follows surgeon Tsuzuki Ryo (Hasegawa), whose peaceful life is shattered when his beloved wife is suddenly abducted. At the same moment, a mysterious patient with a disfigured, unrecognizable face is brought into the hospital. The kidnapper soon delivers a chilling ultimatum: “If you don’t kill that patient, I will kill your wife.”
The unknown patient is suspected of being a violent murderer on the run, placing Tsuzuki in an impossible position. As the police begin to close in and the countdown tightens, he finds himself cornered—torn between his oath as a doctor and the desperation to save his wife. The drama builds tension through psychological conflict and the slow unraveling of a deeper truth behind the abduction.
Kao no Nai Kanja – Sukuu ka, Sabaku ka– will air from January 8, every Thursday late-night on KTV (24:15) and Fuji TV (24:45).
