The live-action adaptation of Nae Awaji’s manga Oshiete kudasai, Fujishima-san! has officially been announced, with Furuya Robin and Tsuji Karin confirmed as the lead actors. Alongside the casting news, the production team has also released the drama’s first trailer.

The story centers on Mizuhara Rio, a teenage novelist with little personal experience in romantic relationships. After receiving feedback from her editor that her writing lacks realism in emotional intimacy, Rio unexpectedly crosses paths with Fujishima Reito, a reserved yet attractive bank employee. What begins as an awkward request driven by creative curiosity gradually develops into a deeper connection as the two spend more time together. The relationship, initially framed as a form of “learning” for the sake of writing, slowly transforms into a sincere and heartfelt romance.
The cast also includes Shimazu Ken in a supporting role. The theme song, titled “Date,” is performed by the four-member band Orange Spiny Club, adding a light and youthful tone to the series.
Oshiete kudasai, Fujishima-san! is scheduled to stream exclusively on DMM TV starting late night on January 9. With its blend of humor, emotional growth, and contemporary romance, the drama is already drawing attention ahead of its release.
