The television drama Is This Love a Mistake? ~ The Price of Infidelity, adapted from a manga by Hisamatsu Yunomi, has been announced with Miyamoto Mayu taking on the leading role. The series explores complicated emotional entanglements, centering on four men and women drawn into a tense psychological struggle through hidden relationships.

The story follows Matsumoto Naho, a housewife who works part-time at a supermarket, and her husband Shogo, an employee at a travel company. Believing she has been in a stable marriage for two years, Naho begins to question that assumption after a casual remark from a colleague exposes the growing emotional distance between her and her husband. Despite her efforts to reconnect, the gap remains unresolved. At the same time, Shogo becomes involved with a coworker, Asano Ayaka, further complicating the situation.
Amid her sense of emptiness, Naho unexpectedly reunites with her high school boyfriend, Shirakawa Toru. His familiar kindness and gentle demeanor offer her temporary comfort, drawing her into an emotional dilemma. As the lives of the four characters intersect, the drama unfolds as a reflection on responsibility, temptation, and the consequences of personal choices.

Is This Love a Mistake? ~ The Price of Infidelity is scheduled to air starting January 7, broadcasting weekly on Wednesdays at 25:00 on TV Tokyo and affiliated stations. Through a restrained and realistic narrative approach, the series examines the fragile boundaries of adult relationships and the emotional costs that follow when those boundaries are crossed.
