Moon River Cast Reflects On The Drama Ahead Of The Series Finale

As MBC’s drama Moon River prepares to air its final episode tonight, the leading cast has shared their reflections on the series and what it has meant to them. With only one episode remaining, the actors looked back on the journey they shared with the drama, their characters, and the viewers who followed the story until the end.

Kang Tae Oh remarked that he spent nearly a year fully immersed in filming, so much so that time seemed to pass without him noticing. He noted that the cast and crew gathered each day with a shared purpose and worked tirelessly together, allowing him to create many joyful and meaningful memories. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to viewers for their continued support of Moon River and for their affection toward characters such as Lee Gang, Park Dal I, Kang Yeon Wol, and others.

Kim Se Jeong spoke warmly about her time portraying Park Dal I and Kang Yeon Wol, describing it as a period in which she felt exceptionally happy and thankful. She humbly shared that the existence of her character was made possible through the consideration and dedication of everyone involved, and that she was able to receive such positive feedback thanks to the support of the “Moon River” family.

Lee Shin Young described the drama as a new challenge in his acting career, explaining that he spent considerable time thinking about how to express his own unique color through the role. While depicting Lee Woon’s complex inner world, emotional pain, and personal story, he felt that he learned a great deal and grew as an actor. He thanked viewers who immersed themselves in the narrative alongside him and promised to continue striving for deeper performances in the future.

Hong Su Zu shared her affection for the character Kim Woo Hee, saying that the role remained with her long after filming ended. She expressed sincere appreciation to those who viewed her performance with kindness, despite her perceived shortcomings, and treasured the opportunity to work with the director, cast, and crew. She also conveyed her determination to show further growth going forward.

Jin Goo reflected nostalgically on filming Moon River, calling it a series of moments that will remain in his memory for a long time. He recalled filming each episode with gratitude after the first broadcast received strong support from viewers. He thanked audiences for watching even the antagonist Kim Han Cheol with warmth and for staying with the drama until the end, adding that he would cherish the love received and return with even better performances in the future.

The final episode of Moon River will air on December 20 at 9:40 p.m. KST.
