The upcoming Korean film The Rock (literal title) has officially confirmed its leading cast, marking the beginning of the project’s production.

On March 12, the production team behind The Rock (literal title) released stills from the film’s script reading and announced that Sul Kyung Gu, Jeon Jong Seo, and Seo Eun Soo will star in the occult mystery project. The images capture the actors gathered around the script, creating an atmosphere filled with focus and anticipation similar to that of an actual filming set.

The Rock (literal title) is described as an occult mystery film that centers on the secret of a mysterious giant rock hidden deep within the mountains. According to legend, the rock possesses supernatural powers and can grant any wish made to it. The project has also drawn attention because members of the production team behind the 2024 hit film Exhuma are participating in the new movie.

In The Rock (literal title), Sul Kyung Gu takes on the role of Eul Seok, a shaman who carries a hidden secret. The film marks Sul Kyung Gu’s first time working in the occult genre, adding another notable project to his diverse acting career.

Meanwhile, Jeon Jong Seo portrays Hee Jin, a woman who begins investigating a mysterious incident following the death of her younger sister Hee Sun. As the truth gradually begins to affect her family, Hee Jin finds herself drawn deeper into the mystery. Her character is expected to drive the narrative’s tension, particularly through her confrontation with Eul Seok.

Seo Eun Soo appears as Hee Nam, who joins her older sister Hee Jin in questioning the circumstances surrounding their younger sister’s death. Determined to uncover the truth, Hee Nam becomes increasingly involved in the unfolding mystery. Through emotional intensity and a chilling presence, Seo Eun Soo is expected to enhance the film’s suspenseful atmosphere.

With filming preparations underway, The Rock (literal title) is already drawing attention from viewers curious about its occult-themed story and the collaboration between its experienced cast members.
