Kim Jae Won could be teaming up with Park Eun Bin in a new historical romance project.
On April 23, Korean media outlets reported that Kim Jae Won has received an offer to play the male lead in the upcoming drama The Palace Is Home to Dog Flowers (working title).
Following the report, his agency Mystic Story confirmed that discussions are currently underway.
The agency stated that the actor is “reviewing the offer” to star in the drama, though no final decision has been announced.

Based on a Popular Historical Romance Novel
The Palace Is Home to Dog Flowers is adapted from a well-known historical romance web novel written by Yoon Tae Roo.
Set within the imperial palace of a fictional nation called Eun, the story centers on a turbulent romance between Consort Hyeon Gae Ri and Emperor Eon.
The female lead is described as a woman of extraordinary beauty, but her explosive temper and intense jealousy earn her the infamous nickname “dog flower.”
In contrast, Emperor Eon is portrayed as a handsome yet emotionally restrained ruler known for his calm and rational personality.
Park Eun Bin Previously Reported for Female Lead
Earlier reports revealed that Park Eun Bin is in talks to play Consort Hyeon Gae Ri.
If both actors officially confirm their participation, the pairing would create one of the more intriguing historical romance lineups currently in development.
The project’s unusual female lead characterization has already sparked curiosity, particularly because it moves away from more traditional historical romance archetypes.
Kim Jae Won’s Rising Momentum
Kim Jae Won is currently appearing as PD Shin Soon Rok in Yumi’s Cells 3, continuing his steady rise in the television industry.
A potential leading role opposite Park Eun Bin would mark another significant step forward in his career as he transitions into larger-scale projects.
For now, fans are waiting to see whether both stars officially sign on to the drama.
