The television drama Tantei-san, Ryukku Hiraitemasu yo, starring Ryuhei Matsuda, has announced its broadcast details, including the release of its first episode on YouTube. The theme song has also been revealed as “Koko de Kurashiteru yo,” a newly written track by the band My Hair is Bad, setting a warm and understated tone for the series.

Set in a quiet rural hot spring town, the drama presents a mystery-driven narrative with a light and humanistic approach. Rather than focusing on intense suspense, the story emphasizes everyday emotions and small-scale encounters. Matsuda plays Ichinose Yosuke, a detective who is also an inventor, known for handling unusual requests from local residents in unconventional and often eccentric ways.

Ichinose is portrayed as a character who differs from the classic image of a sharp and distant detective. His quirky methods and unique perspective turn each case into more than just a puzzle to be solved, allowing the series to explore the emotional undercurrents of the people involved. Through these interactions, the drama paints a subtle portrait of life in a countryside community and the hidden stories behind its calm surface.

The supporting cast includes Hikaru Takahashi, Koji Okura, Shingo Mizusawa, Yuki Katayama, and Ken Mitsuishi, whose performances help build a rich ensemble that reflects the town’s diverse personalities. The theme song’s gentle melody further reinforces the drama’s focus on atmosphere and emotional resonance.

Tantei-san, Ryukku Hiraitemasu yo is set to air from January 9, broadcast every Friday at 11:15 p.m. on TV Asahi. Blending mystery with warmth and everyday realism, the series positions itself as a quietly engaging drama suited to viewers seeking a more reflective take on the genre.
