New Stills Highlight the Intersection of Warmth and Cool Rationality

ENA’s upcoming legal mystery drama Honour has released new stills of Yeon Woo Jin in character, offering a closer look at the layered personality he will portray in the series.

Based on a Swedish original, Honour is a mystery thriller centered on three lawyers who confront a massive scandal rooted in the past. Through restrained storytelling and psychological tension, the drama explores power, responsibility, and the moral ambiguities that emerge when truth is finally brought to light.

Yeon Woo Jin stars as Baek Tae Joo, an innovator who once reshaped South Korea’s IT industry and now serves as the CEO of tech company The Prime. Baek Tae Joo is guided by reason and logic, possessing sharp judgment and a clear analytical mind that often catches others off guard. He maintains composure by observing situations from a step back, rarely revealing his intentions outright.

At the same time, Baek Tae Joo is not defined solely by cold rationality. He carries himself with a gentle demeanor and soft-spoken manner, subtly lowering others’ defenses. This coexistence of goodwill and calculation, warmth and detachment, gives the character added depth and positions him as a key source of mystery within the narrative.

The newly released stills emphasize this contrast. In one set of images, Baek Tae Joo wears a faint smile and calm gaze, exuding warmth and quiet confidence. In others, his sharp eyes and controlled expression convey a cool, almost intimidating presence, underscoring his rational and guarded nature.

According to the production team, Yeon Woo Jin carefully balances where Baek Tae Joo’s warmth and coldness intersect. By relying not only on dialogue but also on subtle facial expressions and controlled breathing, he heightens tension within each scene. His performance is expected to become one of the central drivers of suspense in Honour.

Honour is scheduled to premiere on February 2 at 10 p.m. KST, and with each new reveal, anticipation continues to build around its characters and unfolding mystery.
