The horror film Chilled (English title: AnyMart), starring Sometani Shota, has been officially selected for the Forum section of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival. The festival will take place in Berlin, Germany, from February 12 to February 22 (local time), with the Forum section known for spotlighting bold cinematic voices and unconventional storytelling.

Set almost entirely inside a convenience store, Chilled constructs its narrative within an ordinary yet confined space, using familiarity to heighten unease and tension. Alongside Sometani Shota, the film features performances by Karata Erika and Nishimura Masahiko, whose roles contribute to the layered emotional dynamics that drive the story forward.
Chilled is scheduled for release later this year. By blending everyday settings with elements of psychological horror, the film positions itself as a distinctive genre work while aligning with the Forum section’s emphasis on originality and exploratory filmmaking, offering international audiences a fresh perspective on contemporary Japanese cinema.
