Nakajima Yuto has been confirmed to appear in the TV Asahi special drama Mori Hanae Butterfly Beyond, starring Yagi Rikako in the lead role. The production was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Hanae Mori, the renowned haute couture designer who earned international acclaim in Paris and was famously known as “Madame Butterfly,” a name inspired by the butterfly motif that symbolized her brand.
The drama traces Mori Hanae’s life journey, portraying the hardships she faced from childhood through her rise to global recognition in the fashion world. Yagi Rikako plays Mori during the pivotal years from age 17 to 39, capturing her early struggles and the formation of her distinctive creative identity. Nakajima Yuto takes on the role of Mori’s husband, a figure characterized by unwavering support and devotion throughout her career.
Mori Hanae Butterfly Beyond is scheduled to air on TV Asahi at 9:00 p.m. on March 21, offering viewers a dramatized look at the life and legacy of one of Japan’s most influential fashion designers.
