Netflix has announced that its upcoming series “Jigoku ni Ochiru wa yo,” starring Toda Erika, will premiere on April 19. Alongside the release date, the platform unveiled a new trailer and confirmed 19 supporting cast members, including Ito Sairi, Ikuta Toma, and Okuno Eita.

Set against the backdrop of Japan from the Showa to the Heisei era, the series spans more than 60 years and traces the turbulent life of Hosoki Kazuko, portrayed by Toda Erika, from age 17 to 66. In order to escape poverty amid the ruins of postwar Japan, Hosoki Kazuko drops out of high school and begins working in the nightlife district. The newly revealed supporting cast also includes Tamura Kentaro, Nakajima Ayumu, Hosokawa Gaku, Takahashi Kazuya, Sugimoto Tetta, Ishibashi Renji, Shimakura Chiyoko, Miura Toko, Tomita Yasuko, Yo Kimiko, Nakamura Yuko, and Ichikawa Miwako. With performers spanning multiple generations, the series aims to portray the complex intersections of fate, desire, and power across time.
