Multi-talented artist NOA is set to take on his first leading role in the television drama “Sukui, Sukuware.” The series is a live-action adaptation of the manga of the same name, written by Kotoko and illustrated by Kamo, which has surpassed 500,000 copies in total sales.

NOA moved to South Korea at the age of 12 and trained as a trainee under a major entertainment company before debuting as an artist. After establishing himself as a versatile performer, he made his acting debut in “Kimi no Hana ni Naru.” “Sukui, Sukuware” marks his first project as a lead actor.

In the drama, NOA plays Hosho Chiaki, a popular actor who appears flawless on the surface but harbors a darker inner world. Set against the backstage realities of the entertainment industry, the story follows Chiaki as he approaches the female lead as part of a calculated bet—only to find himself gradually consumed by emotions he can no longer control.

Sakaguchi Tamami, former member of Nogizaka46, stars opposite NOA as Minase Ama. Raised in poverty, Ama dreams of becoming an idol and perseveres despite repeated harassment and sabotage from those around her. Her life takes a turn when she is unexpectedly cast as Chiaki’s stand-in for a television drama, drawing her into a dangerously unbalanced relationship.

“Sukui, Sukuware” portrays a yandere-style romance that blurs the line between affection and obsession. What begins as manipulation slowly transforms into an all-consuming fixation, offering a tense exploration of distorted love within the high-pressure world of show business.

The drama will air starting February 12 in MBS’s late-night “Drama Tokku” slot (Thursdays at 24:59), with broadcasts also scheduled on select regional networks.
