The upcoming film “Oni no Hanayome” has announced its theme song and released a new trailer. The movie stars Ren Nagase of King & Prince alongside Ai Yoshikawa, with the theme song confirmed as “Waltz for Lily,” a brand-new track by King & Prince. The release of the trailer offers a first look at the film’s tone and fantasy setting.

“Oni no Hanayome” is adapted from the novel by author Kureha and tells a romantic story between a demon and a human. The film is set in a world where ayakashi and humans coexist. Ayakashi are mystical beings known for their beauty and special abilities, and they occasionally choose a human bride. For an ayakashi, the chosen bride is a singular existence, and once chosen, she becomes the object of unwavering love for a lifetime.

Ai Yoshikawa portrays Shinonome Yuzu, a university student who has endured neglect and mistreatment from her family. Her life takes a sudden turn when she is selected as the bride by Kiryuin Reiya, played by Ren Nagase, the next leader of the Oni clan, the most powerful of all ayakashi tribes. From that moment on, Yuzu’s fate begins to change dramatically.

Ren Nagase’s character, Kiryuin Reiya, stands as both a symbol of immense power and inherited responsibility. His relationship with Yuzu, which crosses the boundary between ayakashi and humans, forms the emotional core of the story. Through their encounter, the film explores themes of destiny, devotion, and the bonds that transcend species.

The supporting cast includes Kentaro Ito, Rin Kataoka, Katsumi Hyodo, Ayana Shiramoto, Momoko Tanabe, Nanato Tanihara, Kyusaku Shimada, and Machiko Ono, further enriching the narrative world. “Oni no Hanayome” is scheduled to premiere in theaters on March 27.
