On January 22, MyDaily reported that actress Shin Sae Kyeong is in talks to star in the upcoming drama The World They’re Dating In (working title). In response, her agency The Present Company confirmed that she has received an offer for the project and is currently reviewing it positively.
Based on a romance webtoon, The World They’re Dating In tells the bittersweet and chaotic story of a woman who longs to live an ordinary life but has never been able to do so. The drama will be directed by Kim Yong Wan, known for his work on Netflix’s The Whirlwind and tvN’s Head Over Heels.
Shin Sae Kyeong has been offered the role of Shin Se Wool, a brand designer who has little interest in marriage until three different men suddenly enter her life. Attempting to approach romance with logic and efficiency, she gradually finds her carefully maintained rationality unraveling amid the trio’s contrasting romantic pursuits.
Meanwhile, Shin Sae Kyeong is also preparing for her return to the big screen with the film HUMINT, marking her first movie appearance in approximately 12 years. The film is scheduled for release on February 11.
