On January 23, actress Oh Yoon Ah released a video titled “Graduation Ceremony at Milal School for Students With Developmental Disabilities” on her YouTube channel, Oh, YoonaTV. The video captured her attendance at her son Song Min’s graduation ceremony, where she was joined by her mother and older sister. What appeared to be a simple milestone soon became a deeply reflective moment for the actress.

As she watched her son walk across the stage to receive his diploma, Oh Yoon Ah looked back on the long and often difficult journey they had shared. Sitting beside her family, she revisited memories that revealed both the emotional weight and the realities of raising a child with autism.

Her sister recalled an incident from years earlier, when Song Min, at the age of seven, once bit a stranger while walking down the street. Oh Yoon Ah followed with another candid recollection, sharing that when her son was in his second year of high school, they visited an amusement park together and he unexpectedly grabbed a passing girl by the hair. She explained that she immediately apologized and later contacted the individual again to provide financial compensation. Her sister agreed, noting that such situations were an unavoidable part of their experience.

A former writer from Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant also appeared in the video, observing that Song Min is now much calmer than he was during the time of the show’s filming. At least now, she said, there is no longer concern about clothes being torn. Oh Yoon Ah echoed the sentiment with laughter, recalling how multiple writers’ outfits had been damaged during filming, and how one writer even had her hair pulled. Though the memories were shared lightly, they reflected the challenges present at the time.

Now, as she looks at her son’s calmer and more mature demeanor, Oh Yoon Ah shared her hopes for his future. She expressed a wish that when Song Min begins earning a salary, he will be able to give back to others. In particular, she hopes that if he secures employment, he might one day offer a scholarship to his school as a way of showing gratitude.

Oh Yoon Ah married a non-celebrity in 2007 and welcomed her son shortly after. The couple divorced in 2015, after which she continued raising Song Min as a single mother. Throughout the years, she has remained active in the entertainment industry, appearing in various television programs while also documenting parts of her life through her personal channel.

Rather than dramatizing hardship, the video presents a restrained and honest portrait of long-term caregiving, growth, and acceptance. Song Min’s graduation stands not only as a personal achievement for him, but also as a quiet testament to the resilience and dedication of a mother who has walked beside him through every stage.
