South Korean actress Cha Joo Young has temporarily suspended her activities after undergoing surgery, her agency confirmed in a statement released on January 25.
According to Ghost Studio, Cha Joo Young has canceled all upcoming official schedules due to health-related reasons. The agency explained that the actress had been experiencing recurring nosebleeds over an extended period and had undergone thorough medical examinations and treatment. Based on medical advice, she ultimately proceeded with an otolaryngology (ENT) surgery that could no longer be postponed.

The statement further noted that Cha Joo Young is currently in the post-operative recovery stage, during which her condition requires close observation. As a result, she will be unable to participate in official activities for the time being, including promotional events related to her ongoing and upcoming projects.

The agency emphasized that it will prioritize supporting the actress’s recovery so that she can return to the public in good health after receiving sufficient treatment.
Despite the temporary hiatus, the agency also encouraged continued interest in Cha Joo Young’s upcoming projects, including her film Sister and the series Climax, both of which are scheduled for release in the near future.
