The historical mystery web drama “Tang Strange Cases” (also known as “Chang’an Transformation”) has officially announced its premiere date. The series will be released on February 3, 2026, via Tencent Video. The production is led by chief producers Guo Xuguang, Liu Mohao, and He Jinyan, with Sheng Zunpeng serving as supervising producer. The drama is directed by Chen Wenyong and written by Zhang Zhaozhe and Wang Xiaoli. The main cast includes Zhang Yijie, Guan Yue, and Hou Chengyue, with special appearances by He Gang, Wu Chunyi, Zhang Mingming, and Shang Na.
Set during the late reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, the drama takes place in Chang’an, the empire’s bustling capital. He is joined by forensic examiner Duan Chao and guard Yuhua, forming an investigative trio that works together to solve increasingly dangerous and enigmatic incidents.
