On February 11, JYP Entertainment released an official statement announcing that TWICE member Dahyun will be unable to participate in the upcoming North America stops of the group’s “THIS IS FOR” world tour due to an ankle injury.

According to the agency, Dahyun began experiencing discomfort in her ankle during the early stages of the North America tour and continued receiving treatment while in the United States. After returning to Korea, she underwent further medical examinations and was diagnosed with a fracture. Medical professionals advised her to undergo continued treatment and take sufficient rest to ensure proper recovery.
The statement noted that Dahyun had been eager to meet fans and even performed while seated after sustaining the injury. However, given the physical demands of the performances, which include walking, jumping, and choreography that place strain on the injured area, continuing to perform could hinder her recovery.
After careful discussions between the artist, the company, and medical professionals, it was decided that Dahyun will not participate in the North America tour dates scheduled from February 13 through March 7.
For the time being, she will focus on treatment and rehabilitation. Her participation in future schedules will be determined based on her recovery progress and further consultation. The agency expressed apologies to fans for the sudden news and thanked them for their understanding and continued support.
TWICE is currently carrying out Part 2 of their “THIS IS FOR” world tour.
