JTBC’s upcoming drama “Shining” has offered a first look at Park Se Hyun in her new role, drawing attention ahead of its premiere. Starring Park Jinyoung and Kim Min Ju, the series tells the story of young people who once shared a world of their own and gradually become a source of light in each other’s lives as they grow older.

Park Se Hyun plays Im Ah Sol, a sharp and candid tax accountant. Although she may initially appear blunt and formal, she actually leads a full and active life filled with work, volunteer activities, exercise, and personal hobbies. Perhaps because of her busy routine, she has never been in a relationship.

During her first year of high school, Im Ah Sol developed a quiet crush on Yeon Tae Seo, a senior she first noticed in a study room. From that moment on, she admired him from afar, keeping her feelings to herself as a cherished memory of youth.

Years later, when Im Ah Sol unexpectedly crosses paths with Yeon Tae Seo again as an adult, she comes to realize that he was her first love. As the person who once remained a meaningful memory steps back into her present life, their relationship begins to evolve in unexpected ways.

Park Se Hyun shared that for Im Ah Sol, Yeon Tae Seo’s very existence carries deep meaning. What began as admiration slowly blossomed into something more, and when that memory becomes reality, their connection takes on a new dimension.

“Shining” is set to premiere on March 6 at 8:50 p.m. KST, with its first two episodes airing consecutively.
