CRAVITY’s Hyeongjun is set to take his first step into acting with an upcoming short-form romantic comedy drama titled Kill the Romeo. The announcement was made on March 5 by his agency, confirming that Hyeongjun will appear in the project and reveal a new side of himself through the role bearing his own name.

The drama Kill the Romeo is described as an interactive, multi-ending romantic comedy that follows an unusual premise. The story begins when a skilled assassin, who secretly leads a double life as a passionate idol fan, receives a new assignment. The situation quickly becomes complicated when the killer discovers that the mission’s target is none other than their favorite idol. As the narrative unfolds, the top-tier assassin realizes that the person they are supposed to eliminate is Hyeongjun, the idol they admire the most.
Presented in a first-person interactive FMV (Full Motion Video) format, Kill the Romeo offers a distinctive twist on the romantic comedy genre. The audience experiences the story from the perspective of the assassin, and the fate of the central character Hyeongjun changes depending on the choices viewers make throughout the story. Each decision influences how events unfold, leading to multiple possible endings.
In the drama, Hyeongjun portrays an idol who shares his real name, marking the official start of his acting career. Within the storyline of Kill the Romeo, he plays the center of a popular idol group and the ultimate favorite of the assassin. Known for his warm and cheerful personality as well as his considerate nature, the character is caught off guard when he learns during a fan signing event that he has become the assassin’s target. From that moment on, the direction of the story and the ultimate fate of Hyeongjun depend entirely on the viewer’s decisions.

By adopting a first-person visual style, Kill the Romeo aims to deepen the sense of immersion while highlighting its interactive structure through multiple branching storylines. Viewers step into the role of the assassin and must confront a difficult dilemma: whether to carry out the mission or protect the idol they admire. Every choice directly shapes the narrative path and determines how the story concludes.
