Upcoming JTBC drama We Are All Trying Here has offered a first glimpse of Go Youn Jung in character, revealing a new side of the actress through her role as a perceptive yet emotionally scarred film producer.

The series follows the story of Hwang Dong Man, played by Koo Kyo Hwan, a man who feels left behind in life while those around him appear to succeed effortlessly. Surrounded by accomplished friends, Dong Man becomes overwhelmed by frustration, envy, and self-doubt. In search of inner peace, he begins a personal journey that gradually reshapes his understanding of failure and self-worth.

In the drama, Go Youn Jung portrays Byun Eun Ah, a producer working at a film company known as Choi Film. Within the company, Eun Ah has earned the nickname “The Ax” because of her uncompromising script evaluations and sharp professional insight. Outwardly calm and composed, she strives to maintain balance in every situation. Yet beneath that controlled exterior lies a deeper emotional struggle: whenever overwhelming emotions surface, Eun Ah suffers sudden nosebleeds, a physical manifestation of unresolved trauma.

Through her encounter with Dong Man, Eun Ah gradually begins to confront the wounds she has long kept hidden. While Dong Man may seem like someone abandoned by society’s expectations, his quiet resilience becomes a source of strength. Their connection slowly allows Eun Ah to heal, while Dong Man in turn discovers a renewed sense of purpose and dignity.

The newly released stills highlight Go Youn Jung’s transformation into the thoughtful yet guarded producer. With restrained expressions and a composed demeanor, the character reflects the everyday life of someone working behind the scenes in the film industry. At the same time, subtle shifts in her gaze hint at the complex emotions that lie beneath Eun Ah’s calm exterior.

According to the production team, Go Youn Jung delivers a steady and nuanced performance that anchors the emotional center of the story. Her delicate interpretation of the character is expected to leave a lasting impression on viewers.

We Are All Trying Here is scheduled to premiere this April.
