The Chinese film Wild Nights, Tamed Beasts (Chang Ye Jiang Jin, 长夜将尽) has officially announced its theatrical release date. The drama-crime feature is scheduled to premiere on March 21, 2026, through the National Arthouse Film Alliance circuit.

Directed by Wang Tong and produced by Rao Xiaozhi, Wild Nights, Tamed Beasts (Chang Ye Jiang Jin, 长夜将尽) brings together a cast led by Wan Qian and Rao Xiaozhi. The film also features special appearances by Qu Chuxiao and Huang Xiaolei, while Zhao Zichong, Sun Qingchang, Guo Yiqian, and Ou Jianyu appear among the main cast.

A Story Where Crime, Fate, and Emotion Intersect

The narrative of Wild Nights, Tamed Beasts (Chang Ye Jiang Jin, 长夜将尽) centers on Ye Xiaolin, played by Wan Qian, a nanny who secretly infiltrates the household of an elderly person while hiding a dangerous intention. Her carefully constructed plan begins to unravel after she encounters Ma Deyong, a caretaker portrayed by Rao Xiaozhi.

The unexpected connection between the two gradually disrupts the fragile balance of their lives. As their relationship evolves, personal motives, hidden pasts, and moral dilemmas begin to surface, pushing the characters toward increasingly complex choices.

At the same time, police officer Zhou Ping, played by Qu Chuxiao, is investigating the case. His pursuit of the truth slowly brings him closer to Ye Xiaolin and Ma Deyong, intertwining the three characters’ fates in ways none of them initially anticipated.

A Crime Drama Focused on Human Choices

Blending elements of drama, romance, and crime, Wild Nights, Tamed Beasts (Chang Ye Jiang Jin, 长夜将尽) explores how unexpected encounters can alter the direction of a person’s life. The film places its characters in morally ambiguous situations where emotions, intentions, and consequences collide.

Through the intertwined stories of Ye Xiaolin, Ma Deyong, and Zhou Ping, Wild Nights, Tamed Beasts (Chang Ye Jiang Jin, 长夜将尽) examines the fragile boundary between compassion and wrongdoing. The narrative unfolds against a tense atmosphere where every decision may shift the balance between redemption and tragedy.

With its March 21 release approaching, Wild Nights, Tamed Beasts (Chang Ye Jiang Jin, 长夜将尽) is set to join the spring lineup of Chinese cinema, offering audiences a character-driven story that combines emotional conflict with elements of crime and suspense.
