Upcoming drama The Legend of Kitchen Soldier has unveiled a fresh set of stills, offering an early look at its unique blend of military setting and fantasy-comedy elements. Led by Park Ji Hoon, the series is adapted from a popular web novel and webtoon, and is set to premiere on May 11 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
The story follows Kang Sung Jae, a military cook played by Park Ji Hoon, whose routine life takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious quest window appears before him. This unusual element sets him on a path that gradually transforms him from an ordinary soldier into a “legendary cook,” combining game-like mechanics with everyday military life.
The newly released stills focus on Kang Sung Jae’s early days at Gangrim Outpost. His expressions reflect both discipline and unease, highlighting the challenges of adapting to a new environment. These moments establish the tone of the series, balancing structure and tension with the character’s internal confusion.
Alongside him, several key figures at the outpost are introduced. Yoon Kyung Ho portrays Master Sergeant Park Jae Young, an administrative supply officer known for his unpredictable reputation and frequent incidents, earning him the nickname “time bomb.” His presence adds a layer of unpredictability to the unit’s daily operations.
