On October 20, the agency publicly expressed concern over repeated instances of fans and individuals visiting Yoo Yeon Seok’s residence, sending mail directly to his private address, and intruding into personal spaces, emphasizing that such behavior constitutes a serious breach of privacy.

Official Statement from KINGKONG by STARSHIP:

“Hello, this is KINGKONG by STARSHIP.

First of all, we sincerely thank all the fans for their constant love and support for our artist, Yoo Yeon Seok.

Recently, there have been repeated incidents of unauthorized visits to the artist’s home and private spaces, as well as packages and letters being sent directly to these locations. These actions represent a grave invasion of privacy.

To protect our artist and prevent further harm, we hereby issue this notice: any actions such as visiting the artist’s residence, intruding into private areas, tracking unofficial schedules, or disclosing personal information will be met with strict legal action.

We also ask that all gifts and fan letters be sent only to the official address below. Any items delivered elsewhere may be returned or discarded.

Address:
(06070) 3F KINGKONG by STARSHIP, 4-5 Samseong-ro 146-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

We are deeply grateful to fans who always support Yoo Yeon Seok with genuine affection, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in helping us protect the artist’s safety and personal rights.
We will continue to do our utmost to safeguard our artist.

Thank you.”

The agency’s firm stance highlights growing concerns within the Korean entertainment industry regarding sasaeng behavior and violations of personal boundaries faced by public figures. Fans have largely voiced support for KINGKONG by STARSHIP’s decision, calling for respect for artists’ privacy and stronger enforcement to curb such intrusive actions.

Yoo Yeon Seok, known for his roles in Hospital Playlist, Mr. Sunshine, and A Bloody Lucky Day, continues to receive widespread admiration for both his acting talent and warm personality—making the agency’s efforts to ensure his safety all the more essential.
