BAE173 member Doha has taken legal action against his agency PocketDol Studio, seeking to suspend his exclusive contract.

According to a report by THE FACT on November 6, Doha filed a lawsuit requesting confirmation of the non-existence of his exclusive contract and an injunction to suspend its validity. The complaint cites issues such as unpaid earnings, the agency’s worsening financial state, unilateral suspension of his activities, and a breakdown of trust.

The lawsuit alleges that PocketDol Studio failed to provide proper payment statements or supporting financial documents, and even falsified expense records. Doha also claimed that on September 15, a company representative told him, “Then you’re out,” effectively suspending his activities without notice. A week later, on September 23, the agency announced to fans that he was “halting activities due to health reasons”—a statement he says was made without his consent.

Doha further expressed concern over the company’s growing debts and unstable finances.
He sent an official document on September 30 demanding corrective action and notifying the agency of his intent to terminate the contract. With no response by October 15, he sent a termination notice on October 17 and filed the lawsuit on October 22. The first hearing for the injunction is scheduled for November 17.

Following the report, Doha addressed fans on Instagram under his real name, Na Gyu Min, writing a heartfelt message apologizing for the situation. He shared that while BAE173’s first full album held great meaning for him, he faced circumstances “too unfair and heavy to endure,” forcing him to make a painful decision. Doha expressed regret for the confusion caused and asked fans to continue supporting his fellow members during their promotions.

Previously, former BAE173 member Nam Dohyon also filed a similar lawsuit against PocketDol Studio, winning his case in June 2023.
BAE173 released their first full-length album, “NEW CHAPTER: DESEAR,” and the title track “Turned Up” on October 23.
