Actress Sonia Sui recently traveled to Australia and shared a close-up selfie on social media that appeared relaxed and carefree. However, the 45-year-old later revealed that the seemingly perfect image did not fully reflect her actual condition, describing the photo as a kind of “photo illusion.”

On January 22, Sui posted the selfie on her Facebook Stories, showing herself at Hyde Park in Sydney. Dressed in a blue sleeveless top with her long hair naturally flowing, she smiled brightly at the camera. Surrounded by tall trees, open green lawns, and a clear blue sky, the photo conveyed a sense of calm and leisure.
Alongside the image, however, Sui offered a candid explanation. While the photo made it look as though she had enjoyed a pleasant and happy day, she shared that the reality was quite different. According to her message, she had been sleeping less than five hours a day, with her energy level nearly depleted, humorously describing herself as having only “3 percent battery” left.
She concluded by remarking on how social media often presents an image that does not fully align with real life. Her honest reflection resonated with many, highlighting the contrast between curated online appearances and the unseen realities behind them, a theme increasingly familiar in today’s social media-driven world.
