The Japanese film Kimi ga Saigo ni Nokoshita Uta, starring Michieda Shunsuke (Naniwa Danshi) and featuring Nukumi Meru as the female lead, has released its official trailer. It has also been announced that the film will be theatrically released in South Korea starting April 1.

The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Ichijo Misaki and is directed by Takahiro Miki. Miki is known for works such as Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight, Sensei! …Suki ni Natte mo Ii Desuka?, and My Eyes Tell.

The story follows a ten-year love journey between Mizushima Haruto (played by Michieda), a quiet young man who secretly enjoys writing poetry, and Tosaka Ayane (played by Nukumi), a girl who struggles with reading and writing due to dyslexia but possesses a strong talent for singing and composing music. Living with his grandparents, Haruto avoids attention and keeps to himself. One day, he discovers that Ayane, a classmate, is writing poetry, and their chance connection leads them to begin creating music together, gradually changing Haruto’s once-uneventful life.

The supporting cast includes Hagiwara Masato, Nira Shinji (Shonan no Kaze), Miyazaki Yoshiko, Gozu Takeo, Takehara Pistol, Inoue Sora, Tanabe Momoko, Nomaguchi Toru, and Okada Koki.

Kimi ga Saigo ni Nokoshita Uta premiered in Japan on March 20 and will open in South Korea on April 1.
