The live-action film “SAKAMOTO DAYS,” starring Meguro Ren (Snow Man) in the lead role, has officially announced the participation of Kitamura Takumi (DISH//), Yagi Yusei (FANTASTICS), and Nukumi Meru.

“SAKAMOTO DAYS” is adapted from the manga of the same name by Suzuki Yuto and is directed by Fukuda Yuichi, known for his work on titles such as “HK: Hentai Kamen,” “Gintama,” “Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii,” “Saint☆Onii-san,” “Shin Kaishaku: Sangokushi,” and “Under Ninja.” Previously confirmed cast members include Takahashi Fumiya, Ueto Aya, Yoshimoto Miyu, Yokota Mayu, Tozuka Junki, Shiono Akihisa, and Watanabe Keisuke.

The story follows Sakamoto Taro (Meguro Ren), a legendary former hitman who once struck fear into the hearts of criminals. After falling in love at first sight with Aoi (Ueto Aya), a woman working at a convenience store, Sakamoto chooses to abandon his life as an assassin. Now married with a daughter named Hana (Yoshimoto Miyu), he lives as a plump, mild-mannered shop owner running a small grocery store.

One day, Sakamoto receives an offer to return to the underworld, which he firmly refuses. Soon after, a series of dangerous individuals begin appearing at his store, forcing Sakamoto to confront his enemies once again in order to protect his beloved family.

This film marks the first collaboration between director Fukuda Yuichi and Kitamura Takumi, Yagi Yusei, and Nukumi Meru. The three actors will portray members of ORDER, an elite group known as the “top-tier assassin force” operating under the control of the Japan Assassin Association.

“SAKAMOTO DAYS” is scheduled to hit theaters on April 29.
