JTBC’s upcoming Friday drama Shining has released new stills featuring Park Jinyoung, drawing attention to his character’s emotional journey.
Shining tells the story of young people who once shared a world of their own and, over time, grow into sources of trust and guiding light for one another.

Park Jinyoung stars as Yeon Tae Seo, a subway train driver who lives as a realist. Focused on maintaining responsibility and stability, he follows a strict daily routine and chooses practicality over vague dreams. Despite his composed lifestyle, Tae Seo remains unable to forget his first love, Mo Eun Ah (played by Kim Min Ju), whom he met at the age of 19.
The newly released stills contrast Tae Seo at different stages of life. One image shows his 19-year-old self riding a bicycle, radiating youthful excitement. Another captures the 30-year-old Tae Seo in his subway uniform at a station, exuding a calm and mature presence that reflects the passage of time.
The production team commented that Yeon Tae Seo is a character who appears calm on the outside while carrying long-held emotions within, adding that Park Jinyoung is expected to naturally portray the character’s transformation through his expressive performance.
Shining is set to premiere on March 6 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
