JTBC’s upcoming Friday drama “Shining” has unveiled its first stills featuring Kim Min Ju in character, offering an early look at her role in the series.
“Shining” tells the story of young people who once shared a world of their own and, over time, become one another’s source of trust and the guiding light in each other’s lives. Kim Min Ju stars as Mo Eun Ah, a sincere, passionate, and warm-hearted individual whose bright personality naturally lifts the atmosphere around her. Her thoughtful nature, always considering others first, is reflected not only in her relationships but also in her work.

After beginning her career in the hotel industry, Mo Eun Ah becomes the manager of a traditional guesthouse in Seoul. Wherever she goes, she creates a welcoming environment that draws people back, highlighting her quiet strength and warmth as a host.
A key influence in Mo Eun Ah’s ability to calmly prepare for her future is her first love, Yeon Tae Seo. When she was 19, during a summer vacation marked by solitude and uncertainty, Yeon Tae Seo appeared in her life and brought about a subtle yet meaningful change. After meeting him, Mo Eun Ah began to clearly envision her future—where she would be, what she would do, and who would walk beside her. To her, he became a guiding presence who illuminated the path ahead.
As Yeon Tae Seo holds such deep significance in Mo Eun Ah’s life, anticipation is growing over how she will respond when the two reunite in their 30s. The newly released stills capture moments from both her teenage years and adulthood, contrasting youthful excitement with present-day composure, and naturally conveying the emotional passage of time she has experienced.
