The upcoming fantasy legal drama Phantom Lawyer has recently shared glimpses from its first script reading session, bringing together the director, writers, and the main cast ahead of production. The series blends supernatural elements with a warm legal narrative, following a lawyer who can see ghosts and an elite attorney as they work through unresolved grievances left behind by unusual clients.

The script reading gathered lead actors Yoo Yeon Seok and Esom alongside Kim Kyung Nam, Jeon Seok Ho, Kim Mi Kyung, Son Yeo Eun, Lee Ah Rin, Jung Seung Gil, and Heo Sung Tae. Yoo Yeon Seok, who plays Shin Yi Rang, demonstrated a broad emotional range during the reading, moving smoothly between everyday warmth and moments of confusion sparked by his character’s sudden ability to see spirits. His performance also highlighted a lighter, comedic tone, adding rhythm and energy to the room.
Esom’s portrayal of Han Na Hyun stood in contrast, defined by restraint and intensity. As a highly accomplished lawyer driven by winning cases, she conveyed the character’s ambition through controlled delivery and focused expressions. Kim Kyung Nam, appearing as Shin Yi Rang’s professional rival, captured the tension of a character navigating authority and personal aspiration within the firm.
Supporting roles further shaped the drama’s emotional foundation. Jeon Seok Ho and Kim Mi Kyung contributed grounded, family-centered dynamics, while Jung Seung Gil’s priest character offered a calm and reflective presence. Additional appearances by well-known actors are set to introduce distinctive ghost clients, expanding the narrative’s scope.
Phantom Lawyer is scheduled to premiere on March 13, positioning itself as a series that combines fantasy concepts with character-driven storytelling.
