TV CHOSUN’s upcoming weekend miniseries Doctor Shin has unveiled new stills featuring Jung E Chan and Baek Seo Ra, offering a first look at the pair’s pivotal meeting in the drama. Blending medical suspense with an unconventional romance, Doctor Shin is set to explore themes of love, desire, taboo, and sacrifice against the backdrop of high-stakes neurosurgery.

In Doctor Shin, Jung E Chan takes on the role of Shin Ju Shin, a genius doctor renowned for his near-miraculous brain surgery skills. Pushing the boundaries of medicine into realms once thought to belong only to divine power, Shin Ju Shin becomes entangled in a complex emotional narrative. Opposite him, Baek Seo Ra portrays Momo, a top actress whose life is upended by a tragic accident that leaves her in a coma, forming the center of an unusual romantic triangle involving a man who once loved her and another who still does.

The newly released stills capture the fateful first encounter between Shin Ju Shin and Momo. In an upscale restaurant setting, Shin Ju Shin invites Momo to dine, maintaining a stoic exterior that subtly conceals his intense interest in her. Momo responds with the composed smile of a seasoned star, her calm demeanor adding to the understated tension that defines the moment.

One particularly striking image shows Shin Ju Shin placing a necklace around Momo’s neck, signaling a bold gesture of affection. As Momo adjusts the necklace and smiles brightly, the scene conveys a restrained yet palpable emotional charge. The interaction hints at the layered relationship that will unfold in Doctor Shin, where boundaries—both medical and emotional—are tested.

According to the production team, Jung E Chan and Baek Seo Ra invested significant effort into portraying the emotional nuances of their characters. The actors reportedly worked closely to align gestures, eye contact, and subtle movements, enhancing the authenticity of their on-screen chemistry. With its premiere scheduled for March 14 at 10:30 p.m. KST, Doctor Shin positions Jung E Chan and Baek Seo Ra at the center of a drama that promises both psychological intensity and a daring romantic narrative.
