Xiao Zhan’s Ongoing Journey in the Entertainment Industry

Completing the filming of Zang Hai Zhuan last month, Xiao Zhan (肖战) took a brief break before diving into his next project, Be Cautious. This new movie marks the first film produced by Daylight Entertainment Co., Ltd, the leading producer of Chinese dramas. Directed by Kong Sheng (孔笙), known for his work in Nirvana in Fire, the movie has generated considerable excitement among fans and industry insiders alike.

Anticipated Collaboration with Industry Giants

The collaboration between director Kong Sheng and producer Hou Hong Liang (侯鸿亮), who directed The Story of Minglan, has many eagerly awaiting the film’s release. Xiao Zhan’s dedication to his roles is evident; during the filming of Zang Hai Zhuan, he wore a long, black down jacket daily to prevent any leaks of drama details. Filming during the hot summer months, he switched to a gray windbreaker and shorts, showing his commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of his costumes and character details.

Xiao Zhan and Shu Qi Reunite

Right after wrapping up Be Cautious, Xiao Zhan will take on a new role in renowned director Philip Yung’s (翁子光) movie My Answer. This film follows a prosecutor under immense public pressure from a criminal suspect and their defense team. After a thorough investigation, the prosecutor gathers irrefutable evidence, leading to the criminal suspect pleading guilty. Xiao Zhan will portray the suspect, marking his first antagonist role in his nine-year career. The female lead, Shu Qi (舒淇), was Xiao Zhan’s acting mentor in the 2015 talent show X Fire. Fans are thrilled to see them share the screen again, given their long-standing friendship and past interactions.

The anticipation surrounding these projects highlights Xiao Zhan’s versatility and dedication as an actor, promising an exciting future for his career and delighting his fans worldwide.
