The upcoming TBS drama Reboot, starring Suzuki Ryohei, has confirmed the addition of Ren Nagase (King & Prince) and Ryoka Fujisawa of Mrs. GREEN APPLE to its cast. Erika Toda will also play a pivotal role alongside Suzuki, further raising expectations for the series. Reboot is set to air in TBS’s prestigious “Sunday Theater” slot at 9:00 p.m. starting January 2026.

The drama features an original script penned over three years by renowned screenwriter Kuroiwa Tsutomu, known for major Sunday Theater hits such as Grand Maison Tokyo, TOKYO MER: Running Emergency Room, and Last Man: The Blind Investigator. With his return to the time slot, Reboot is already considered one of the most anticipated suspense dramas of early 2026.

Reboot follows the gripping and suspenseful journey of Hayase Riku (Suzuki), an ordinary pastry chef who becomes the prime suspect in his wife’s murder after she is found dead two and a half years after going missing. Though innocent, Riku is arrested based on fabricated evidence. Leading the investigation is Gido Ayumi, a division chief entangled in bribery and underworld connections, casting further doubt on the integrity of the case. Determined to uncover the truth, Riku decides to “reboot” his life, transforming himself into an investigator to expose the real culprit behind his wife’s death.

With Nagase Ren and Fujisawa Ryoka joining the cast, the series brings together a dynamic mix of seasoned actors and rising talents. The supporting ensemble includes Kuroki Meisa, Ito Hideaki, Makita Aju, Kitamura Yukiya, Harada Mieko, Yazaki Kou, Sakou Yoshi, Tsukaji Muga, Tsuda Atsuhiro, Nakagawa Daisuke, Ikeda Tetsuhiro, and Fujita Haru, forming a rich and multilayered suspense narrative.

Blending a powerful cast, an unpredictable original script, and tightly woven storytelling, Reboot is poised to be one of the standout suspense dramas of early 2026.
