Rising actors Cho Jun Young and Lee Jae In are set to portray a youthful romance shaped by competition and emotional growth in the upcoming television drama Spring Fever.

Produced by tvN, the romantic comedy centers on the evolving love story between Yoon Bom, an emotionally distant high school teacher portrayed by Lee Joo Bin, and Seon Jae Gyu, a warm-hearted man whose sincerity gradually breaks down her emotional barriers. The male lead is played by Ahn Bo Hyun, adding depth to the drama’s adult romance storyline.

Within this broader narrative, Cho Jun Young takes on the role of Seon Han Gyeol, Seon Jae Gyu’s nephew and the top-ranked student at Shinsoo High School. Opposite him, Lee Jae In plays Choi Se Jin, a consistently high-achieving student who perpetually ranks second and openly positions herself as Han Gyeol’s rival. Their intense academic competition initially fuels mutual hostility, but over time, their relationship evolves into a subtle and sincere romance that captures the emotional turbulence of adolescence.

Cho Jun Young shared that he was particularly drawn to the drama’s balance of comedy and warmth, noting the natural chemistry between characters from Seoul and the close-knit rural community of Shinsoo. He also highlighted the unique challenge of mastering a regional dialect, explaining that portraying Gyeongsang Province satoori required focused preparation and collaboration with fellow cast members.

Lee Jae In described the drama as light and endearing, emphasizing that its gentle tone offers emotional comfort rather than superficial storytelling. She noted that while her character Choi Se Jin may initially appear distant and sharp, her ambition and sincerity gradually reveal a layered personality that audiences can empathize with.

Both actors emphasized that beyond its youthful romance, Spring Fever weaves together humor, multiple forms of love, and the warmth of a small-town setting. The production team hopes the drama’s gentle charm will resonate with viewers seeking comfort and positivity.

Spring Fever is scheduled to premiere on January 5, 2026, at 8:50 p.m. KST.
