On January 13, actor management agency VARO Entertainment released an official statement announcing firm legal action against ongoing malicious and illegal acts targeting its artists.
According to the statement, the company has recently identified continuous incidents across online communities and social media platforms involving malicious slander, defamation through the spread of false information, insults, sexual harassment, and personal attacks directed at its artists. VARO Entertainment emphasized that it views these actions as serious violations of the artists’ rights and dignity.
The agency stated that it is actively collecting relevant evidence through its internal monitoring system and has appointed Yulchon LLC as its legal counsel. VARO confirmed that it is pursuing all available legal remedies, including filing criminal complaints, and stressed that it will respond strictly without any form of settlement or leniency toward offenders.
The statement further noted that baseless speculation and the dissemination of distorted or misleading information constitute serious illegal acts that severely damage artists’ reputations and may cause secondary harm. VARO Entertainment pledged to continue strong legal responses through ongoing monitoring and systematic evidence collection.
Concluding the statement, the agency expressed sincere gratitude to fans for their continued support and reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its artists so they can carry out their activities in a safe and respectful environment.
VARO Entertainment currently represents several artists, including Byeon Woo Seok, Lee Chae Min, Gong Seung Yeon, Jin Goo, Lee Yoo Mi, Park Moon Ah, Park Jung Woo, Lee Soo Kyung, and Lee Hong Nae.
